The song is called; "The Watchung Evening Song" and was written by Albert S. Davis, Sr. and the words are as follows:

Proud Watchung, when thy storied summits
Are crimsoned by the western sun
And lengthening shadows in the valley
Proclaim to all that day is done;
As Pilgrims from some high adventrue
Press homeward when the night is nigh,
We come to bring our loving tributes
In praise of Bound Brook High

Brave Watchung, on they rugged hillsides
Our fathers fought for liberty,
All here unfurled unto the breezes
The new-born banner of the free
Like them, again, dear Alma Mater,
We gather round thy standards true,
And pledge once more to school and country
Our loyalty anew.

The mellow light on Watchung mountains
Grows dim and ebbs at close of day;
And from these dear familiar places,
Soon, soon we all must take our way.
But even in our furthest ventures,
When twilight steals across the sky,
Our hearts will glow with kinding memories
Of thee, old Bound Brook High.

That is our school song, I can't remember how the melody goes, but remember singing it at the Bon Fires they used to have the night before the Thanksgiving game against Somerville.

The words were made a part of an adendum in our class yearbook as part of the Bi-Centennial Celebration of our Country back in 1976.

I hope this finally clears up your search. If you have any questions, just reply to this e-mail and I will be happy to help, if I can.

Thank you. Ken Sella, Class of 1976
